Gundren Rockseeker is the cousin of Merle Highchurch. He hired the adventurers for “the last job they will ever need to take”; specifically the group was tasked with escorting a supply wagon from Neverwinter to Phandalin.

Once a dwarven adventurer, Gundren is now retired and works as a fairly succsesful merchant in Neverwinter. He is one of few merchants said to be able to source high quality Iron in spite of the current shortage.
